![]() ![]() I agree with the above poster - I also love the car. I have looked around - and for SD card models - there is no other way but going through Audi - or getting a stand alone unit. If only Audi offered a map update service at a reasonable price - for me it should really be included in the price of the car (most good sat nav suppliers now give free lifetime map updates) and I don't understand why major manufacturers don't tie in with Garmin/Tom Tom/Google to provide the navigation with free map updates. On my 2011 - I did the MMI updates and updated the maps myself - the MMI updates were simple (for me anyway - as long as you know you have the correct ones) - but the map updates were tricky. Because of this I think Audi will not sell hardly any, and I would rather and probably will buy a garmin with free lifetime updates and use this on the very limited amount of times I need bang up to date maps.Īlso trying to enter destination by voice is cumbersome I find with many confirmations required which need you to look at screen - which defeats the purpose of voice. Select your model and year from the menu above to find the map update for your Volkswagen vehicle. This vital data improves routing accuracy, helping you to get to your destination quickly and efficiently. While I have grown to like the Audi navigation (my 2011 A6 had the hard drive version) - there is no way I am paying £250+ for an updated map for a single year. Volkswagen navigation system map updates include new and modified roads, addresses, points of interest and more. It got me hopelessly lost for a while down at Glasgow at the weekend - on newish road layouts around the M8/M73. offers updates for the following navigation devices and software. I have a 2016 A6 with the SD card mapping. ![]()
